Tierra Ruffin-Pratt

National Director of Defense & Rebounding

A native of Alexandria, Virginia, Tierra is happy to join Area Scouts and brings an extensive resume of playing success both in the U.S. and abroad.

A 2x Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year for T.C. Williams HS,, Tierra received a scholarship to the University of North Carolina and played four years for the Tar Heels, including garnering All-ACC First Team, ACC Tournament First Team, and Region II All-American honors her senior year.  

Tierra signed with the WNBA Washington Mystics upon graduation and proceeded to spend the next 6 seasons, including a WNBA FInals appearance in 2018, in Washington as a defensive specialist for her hometown team.  She enjoyed her best statistical season in 2017, averaging 7.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.  Tierra then finished out her WNBA career in Los Angeles, playing for the Sparks until the 2020 season.  

In addition to this successful run through the WNBA, Tierra has starred overseas for 9 different teams across the globe.
