A new chapter focused on continued support, technology investment, and planned global expansion.
Area Scouts is entering a new chapter following the acquisition of its Software Platform, Application, and Professional Sports Industry Director Programming Rights by Beacon Private Equity Group. The transaction closed on August 27, 2026.
To our community of 3,003 active sports coaches and 7,065 global company representatives: our commitment to supporting you remains unwavering. Going forward, support and program oversight will be coordinated through a management group established by the acquiring firm, with a continued focus on the people and relationships that make Area Scouts possible.
With 400+ Regional, State, and Local Licenses recently sold to coaches around the world, this next chapter is focused on strengthening our network and supporting its continued growth — powered by coaches determined to help Area Scouts and its partners prevent millions of youth athlete injuries globally.
The private equity group's plans include ramping up global expansion during 2027–2028 and pursuing a technology strategy focused on adding and integrating software platforms to strengthen the Area Scouts infrastructure and community. Details about specific acquisitions, integrations, and market launches will be shared through upcoming network-wide team meetings.
The Area Scouts platform remains available at app.areascouts.com. The mission continues: to support athlete health and development through professionally created assessments, screens, corrective measures, education, and training resources that help athletes, parents, and coaches build a stronger foundation across youth sports.
